Geometric Print Tube Skirt from House of Holland

I love the House of Holland collection, with its 1980s inspired, bold patterns and styles.  The collection is available on its own website, but also can be found in other stores such as Debenhams and Urban Outfitters.

I spotted this patchwork tube pencil skirt on Pinterest and love it.  Its a perfect pencil skirt, with its edgy, geometric pattern, superb midi length and high-waisted, stretch jersey fit.  Wear with a black t-shirt and ankle boots for a great, urban look.

Delightful Dress: Plaid Pinafore Dresses from Urban Outfitters

Pinafore dresses have been making a bit of a comeback lately.  However, I've steered a bit clear of them as I do worry they look a bit schoolgirl if they are the wrong colour, pattern or styled too young.  The key to looking like a grown up when wearing this, I think, is to layer it with some mature pieces, such as a crisp blouse or some funky accessories and avoid school uniform grey!  Another trend emerging for AW13 is a tartan or plaid pattern and so I have found a couple of lovely pinafores in such a print from Urban Outfitters - I couldn't choose between them so I'm highlighting both!

The first is this red Vintage Renewal plaid pinafore dress, which is £38 and comes in sizes medium and large.  It's got a real Sixties retro look and feel to it, and is fun and playful, without being juvenile.  I like the way they have styled it, with the long-sleeved cotton blouse and I'd team it with some dark tights and Doc Martens for autumn and winter.

The second dress is this Cooperative pinafore dress in Black Watch tartan print.  It's £52 and comes in sizes extra small to large.  Again, it could be styled as the dress above and look great!

Fantastic Footwear: Deena & Ozzy Ellie Flatform Sandals from Urban Outfitters

So, if you cross a flat with a wedge, what do you get?  You get a flatform!  Originally seen in the 90's (think Spice Girls), they have returned this season.  They are perfect for those individuals who are after a bit of height but would prefer to avoid heels!

I really like these Deena and Ozzy Ellie flatform sandals in neon yellow and tan, which are available at Urban Outfitters. They aren't too high so will be easy to walk in and the pop of yellow embraces the neon trend too.  The ankle strap means they will fit well on the foot and be practical and comfortable to wear.  These sandals are very casual, so I'd wear them with denim cut-offs or a fun, flippy summer skirt.

Until 22nd May, the discount code TOP20 can be used with these sandals, so instead of being £28, they are just £22.40.  In addition, from today, Urban Outfitters are charging just £1 for standard delivery with no minimum spend so definitely a bargain!

Awesome Accessories: Elephant Icon Purse at Urban Outfitters

There's a sale on at Urban Outfitters which sells stylish and funky clothing, shoes and accessories.  There's lots to choose from, but I have found this fuchsia elephant purse - half price at just £9!  I don't think you can really go wrong with that.  Measuring 19cm x 10cm, it's a perfect size to pop into your handbag and the elephant fastening is simply adorable!
