Over the Top: Carven Contrast Collar Tweed Coat from my-wardobe.com
The masculine, military coat is a key piece for AW13 and there are some simply superb ones on the market. I was after one that is unique, great quality, warm and stylish and I've found this brown and turquoise blue tweed one by Carven, available at my-wardobe.com. It's a fantastic take on the masculine, military trend whilst still managing to maintain an element of femininity with the colours, bold collar and cinched, flattering, belted waist. The fabric composition is the height of luxury - alpaca wool, angora, wool - and most importantly, will be snugly warm for the coming months. A classic piece that will never go out of style - perfect!

Nifty Knitwear: Intarsia Jumper from Joules
There's nothing like a cozy jumper as the weather turns and Joules have a fantastic selection at the moment. My favourite are from the Intarsia collection, which have all sorts of cute animal prints on them. There's seven different versions for women and it's so hard to choose just one - so I have picked a few that I love the most! They will all look fab with jeans, perfect for a casual, restful day or a walk in the country.
First up is this navy and white striped jumper with a bluetit motif. Stripes are always great and the bluetit is unique and makes it really interesting.
Then there's Mr Fox on a sage green background. Less subtle than the bluetit, I think Mr Fox is sophisticated and suave!
Finally, again a sage green and perfect for Christmas is this duck patterned sweater. Look! They have Christmas hats and scarves and everything - so cute!
Other animals are a dog, French hens, a partridge and a Christmas dog. Simply sweet! Each of these jumpers is £69.95 but, until the end of today, Joules are offering a discount code as follows:

A Great Cause: Tangle Teezer Compact Styler Instant Detangling Hairbrush
If you've got medium to long hair - or children - a tangle teezer is a must! And if you haven't purchased one yet, why not consider this 'Penelope Pink' one in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month?
The colour is fab, with a retro 'Doris Day' bow print and, being a tangle teezer, will work amazingly well to detangle wet or dry hair. It's compact, so can be popped in one's bag for on the move. What's even better is that 20% of sales from this are going to Breast Cancer Care to provide much needed information and support to anyone affected by breast cancer in the UK.
It's available from quite a few places for £12.25, but one of my favourite online beauty sites is Feelunique.com which always offers free delivery - and quite often, discount voucher codes! Another good site, again offering free delivery and discount codes is Lookfantastic.com. Check out my voucher code page for the latest offers.

A Great Cause: Think Pink Beauty Heroes from Elemis
Another day, another fab offer in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness month. This time it's from Elemis, one of my favourite beauty companies. It's an utterly fab 'Think Pink Beauty Heroes' collection. Presented in a gorgeous pink case, it includes:

It's £36.50 but so worth it. Elemis also have loads of offers on normally, so do check out the voucher code page to see what's current.

A Great Cause: Bobbi Brown French Pink Blush with Brush Set for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation from John Lewis
I've mentioned before that supporting and raising money for cancer charities is a big part of my life and one of the closest causes to my heart is that of breast cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so please can I urge everyone - men too - to check your breasts and get anything you're not sure about checked out. I believe (what we thought was) being overly cautious saved my life - please, please, don't be blasé about it.
So I am not going to apologise for promoting any products I find this month in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, even if they aren't on special offer. I posted about Neal's Yard Remedies yesterday and today, I've found this gorgeous Bobbi Brown French Pink Blush with brush set from John Lewis. It's a beautiful colour which should suit most skin tones. It's £35 but £5 from every sale will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Perfect.
Splendid Skirt: Doctor Who Van Gogh TARDIS Contour Skirt from Hot Topic
I've written about Hot Topic before, which is an American website that stocks current, fun and funky trends that can't be easily found elsewhere.
I adore this Doctor Who TARDIS skirt. Hip hugging and edgy, it's perfect for an evening out at the pub if one is daring enough! Combine with some Doc Marten boots or similar, t-shirt and leather jacket for a bold, urban look.
Available in sizes extra-small to extra-large, it's just $22.50 (about £14) but there's currently a 30% off flash promotion with the code 30OFF.

Putting my money where my mouth is: Neal's Yard Remedies Lip Gloss
One can never have too much lip gloss in my opinion and I have found a gorgeous, luxurious one from Neal's Yard Remedies. Not only does it protect the lips and make them look scrummy but it contains a wonderful range of natural ingredients to condition, nourish and nurture the lips. They have a fantastic selection of colours - and flavours - but the one I have been using is the plum. It's simply perfect.
They're quite expensive at £9.50 but one only needs a tiny amount to be effective, so they will last for ages. I was lucky enough to get one through attending a Look Good, Feel Better event for women with cancer, and I am happy to note that Neal's Yard Remedies are also supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month this month, so I'll promote them as much as I can! In fact, buy a deodorant from them and they will donate £1 to breast cancer support centres until the 31st. So stock up on luxury and support a great cause - win/win!
