LK Bennett Marlene Sandals from Zalando

The end of the summer sales are hotting up so it's definitely time to take advantage of those bargains around the web. Zalando are in the ladt few days of sale and have a huge range of items - shoes, clothes, accessories and sportswear for men, women and children - and lots of designer brands.

I have found this gorgeous pair of LK Bennett heeled sandals, which are perfect for those warmer evenings which are surely to come, despite the current changeable weather.  They come in stripey black (reduced from £175 to £125) or red (reduced from £175 to £140).

I see them being worn with a classic, box pleat, A-line skirt for daytime or evening elegance and a simple blouse or silk t-shirt.  Add a cropped cardi to keep warm whilst sipping cocktails outside!

Anna Scholz Cowl Colour Block Dress from Simply Be

I have just rediscovered Simply Be, a plus-size (12 - 32) store with a fabulous range of clothing, shoes and accessories. They have great basics at decent prices as well as on-trend, flattering pieces that can't be found elsewhere. I like it especially as the clothes have been designed for larger ladies, so customers can be confident that they should fit well and look good.

They have just started their online sale today (in store starts tomorrow) and there are some amazing items on offer. I will be purchasing this amazing cowl necked colour block dress by the designer Anna Scholz.  The colours and patterns are simply divine.  The cut and fabric composition, with a hint of elastane, will ensure the style is super-flattering to emphasise those feminine curves. I'd mainly wear this with heels for an evening out, but I do think one could get away with it for a lovely lunch out or other daytime event.  It's still available in sizes 20 to 32 and has been reduced from £70 to just £33!

Ekata Tweed Blazer by Malene Birger from Atterley Road

There are lots of lovely designer clothes, shoes and accessories in the Atterley Road mid-season sale, all with up to 50% off right now.

Structured jackets are great for the changeable Spring weather and I love this cream tweed blazer by Malene Birger.  The colour combination means that it will go with almost everything, but the beaded embellishment and trim prevents it from being ordinary.  It could be worn for work, over a shift dress and with courts - or wear it with skinny jeans and ankle boots for the day.  Originally £345, it's now £244 and available in sizes 10 to 14.

Silver Bells Blazer from Great Plains

There are some nice offers at Great Plains at present and there are loads of gorgeous dresses, tops, trousers coats and more available, all great quality at great prices.

This 'Silver Bells' cobalt blue blazer is perfect for the transitioning months.  It's a perfect blend of cotton with a hint of elastane, so will fit perfectly. And, of course, the cobalt blue is the colour for Spring!  I'd wear it with a simple t-shirt, skinny jeans and pumps for a casual, daytime look, but it could also be worn to the office over a tailored blouse and skirt.  Best yet, it was originally £75 but is just £24 in the sale - a real quality bargain.

Ossie Clark is a well-established, classic designer who has been around since the 1960's and he invented the trouser suit! His collection consists of feminine shapes, vintage-inspired glamour with a hint of edginess.

There are quite a few items on sale on the website at present, including some beautiful, ethereal blouses and dresses, bold coloured tops and jackets and some stunning basics. However, I have gone for something a little more daring - this 'Sophie' black maxi dress with gold trim and ruffles. It's a maxi dress with a Disney villain twist - I'm thinking the stepmother in Snow White - but it's wearable, not costume-y at all! Wear to a fabulous evening do with gold strappy heels and subtle jewellery; this dress doesn't need much accessorising at all. Originally £149, it's been reduced to £79 and is available in sizes 8 to 18.

Today, Marks & Spencer launched a fantastic three day Mega Event offering 20% off clothing, shoes and accessories - it ends on Tuesday 25th March and is online only.

I have had my eye on this cobalt blue maxi dress for a while now. The cobalt blue is one of this season's key colours. The pleats, ruching and belted waist will ensure the fit is flattering to most figures. It's totally glamourous and is perfect for an evening out, teamed with gold heels, jewellery and a sophisticated updo hairstyle. It could also be worn to a wedding - either as a guest or as one of the bridesmaids. Originally £89, with 20% off it's £71.20 during the Mega Event.

Charabia Moonshine Trousers from Anthropologie

Anthropologie stocks a gorgeous selection of high quality and unique clothing, accessories, homeware and gifts.  I was browsing their site for Mother's Day gifts and came across these fantastic metallic trousers.  Tailored metallic fabrics are on trend for SS14, as seen on the catwalks of Lanvin, Christian Dior and Issey Miyake, and I think these trousers are a perfect way to embrace the style.  I'd team them with a silk top and heels and some colourful accessories for a chic, futuristic look.

Originally £148, they are now £43.95 and available in sizes extra small, small and large.

The White Company sale started today with offers on clothing and all sorts of goodies for the home, such as beautifully fragranced candles, mirrors and glassware.  Pretty much everything is gorgeous, so it is a perfect time to spruce up one's home and garden with quality, stylish and savvy items!

This silver silk drop waisted dress is simply stunning.  The colour is divine and the cut is loose enough that it will be cool to wear in Spring and Summer.  The dropped waist means it will be easy to wear whilst the capped sleeves gives it a lovely, feminine look.  It hardly needs accessorising - just wearing it with a pair of sandals will look fab.  Originally £120, it's £72 in the sale and available in sizes 8 to 16.

Cobalt blue is one of the colours for Spring 2014. It's eye-catching, striking and looks amazing with almost all skin tones and hair colours.  It works with clothing, jewellery, nail polish - anything!

The sales right now provide a good opportunity to find some key pieces in this colour at bargain prices.  I've spotted this flocked bird patterned top in the Warehouse sale.  It's a simple top, but the subtle bird pattern prevents it from being boring. It's versatile enough to be worn with anything for a casual, daytime look; I think it would be perfect with shorts and sandals.

Halterneck Swimsuit from Marks and Spencer

The Marks and Spencer sale started today and there is up to 50% off many items including clothing, shoes and accessories.  There is also a great selection of swimwear available, so it's a great opportunity to get ready for the coming months in savvy style!

I'm really impressed with the range as there's something for everyone: maternity swimsuits, post-surgery swimsuits, underwired bikini tops for extra support, skirted and regular swimsuits.  For me though, nothing beats a bit of tummy control and, as such, I've picked this pink and white spotty halterneck swimsuit.  Not only is it a gorgeous shape, pattern and colour, it's got a hidden control panel to keep the waist in! Originally £29.50, it's been reduced to £21 in the sale.  Stock on all items is selling out quickly, so it's worth taking a look at everything in the sale soon!

Penelope Cross Stitch Jacket from Monsoon

As the weather improves, one needs a coat less and less, but it's still not warm enough to go out without some sort of cover up.  A lovely cardigan or jumper works wonders, but sometimes one needs something a little more structured.

The sale's just started at Monsoon and there are lots of great items with up to 50% off.  They have a selection of cropped, patterned jackets that will work really well for Spring.  I like this cotton-blend blue and burgundy version with floral details and a hippy/folk element.  It would be perfect with jeans and pumps but could equally be thrown over a dress to keep the chill at bay in the evening.  Originally £69, it's half price in the sale and is still available in sizes 8 to 16, 20 and 22.

Paisley Print Strapless Gown from Mango

Mango has a wonderful range of clothing and accessories aimed at the contemporary, urban women.  It's got a great range of quality, good value products - classic basics, unique and delicate items, sophisticated and modern pieces.

There's lots of items on sale at present, including some perfect blazers and pretty, floral trousers, but I love this pink and white, paisley patterned maxi dress. The shape is feminine and flattering, especially with the belt to pull in the waistline. It could be worn casually with some wedged sandals, simple accessories and a lovely sun hat for a fab Spring/Summer daytime look. But it could also work for a tasty evening meal out! Elephant Print Skater Dress from New Look

There's lots of sales happening or imminent right now, and New Look is no exception.  Customers can currently get up to 60% off hundreds of products and there are some real bargains to be had.

I love this black and white elephant print dress that has been reduced to just £10.  It's a classic and elegant style that will fit well and flatter most figures, and the unique pattern makes it fun and quirky.  It can be worn as a simple day dress with pumps, or made edgy by adding black ankle boots and a leather jacket.

Best of the Sales: Fever London

The Fever London collection is gorgeous - inspired by vintage culture yet still contemporary.  The sale's on at the moment, so there is already 60% off many items, but until Sunday, customers can get an additional 15% off with the code EXTRA15.

My picks of the sale can be found on my main website but I think my favourite is this Farringdon dress in navy which has been reduced from £64.99 to £38.99.  I love its flattering, sharp tailoring with the double breasted buttons and tie waist, meaning its perfect for work, but it's not too formal to be worn as a day dress.  The fabric also is a cobomnation of cotton and elastane, so should fit perfectly and feel great!

Caraby Ugg Chelsea Boots from Ugg Australia

The Ugg Australia Winter sale is still on and final reductions mean that there is up to 50% off a range of great quality, comfortable, practical and lovely footwear.

I love Ugg's take on the classic Chelsea boot - especially as it's reduced from £145 to a reasonable £90 (and free delivery) for a high quality, sophisticated style.  I love the embellishments on the side and front which takes it from what could be a boring boot to something a bit more interesting - let the boot be the stand-out piece of one's outfit!  And being Ugg, one knows that they are going to be so comfortable.  Unfortunately, the black has sold out but there are still a few sizes left in the chocolate brown, which I prefer anyway!

Footwork & Play Tartan Flat Pumps from Modcloth

Bold patterns are definitely one of the trends for this season, including checked, tartan and plaid patterns.  These patterns can be quite difficult to pull off though, without looking like a Highland fling so I'd recommend choosing just one key piece that flaunts the style.

With that in mind, I've found a lovely pair of tartan flat pumps in the Modcloth sale that can be worn with anything, embrace the trend but not go too over the top!  I'd wear them with a single coloured dress, opaque tights and let the shoes do the talking!  They are 30% off in the sale, so are $68.99 (about £42) and come in US sizes 6 to 8.5 (here's Clarks Shoes size and fit guide).

Amy Dress from Hush Homewear

The Hush Homewear sale is now on with lots of bargains on high quality lounge wear, night wear and gorgeous basics to take one from home to town.  I particularly like their range as they choose such amazing, snugly  fabrics such as cashmere, silk, cotton, angora and lambswool which feels as though one is being wrapped in pure luxury.

I love this knitted 'Amy' dress/tunic, made from a gorgeous combination of cotton, silk and cashmere in a really classic and elegant cut.  Easy to wear, layered with a long sleeved top, scarf and skinny jeans or leggings - or thick tights and boots if one is daring enough!  I also like the three-button detailing on the left shoulder which gives it an element of interest and prevents it being a boring shift top.  It's available in black, burgundy, grey marl and my favourite, the marine blue (pictured), and has been reduced from £55 to £40 but it's being snapped up fast, so be quick!

Alpaca Wool Blend V-Neck Cardigan from UNIQLO

UNIQLO can be relied on to produce some great quality wardrobe staples at really good prices.  Knitwear often contains cashmere, merino or alpaca and other clothing uses cutting edge fabrics and technologies.  It also does some great collaborations with designers, such as this recent one with Orla Kiely.

I love this alpaca wool blend cardigan that is soft, light and elegant. Its sleeves and bottom are slightly ribbed, which prevents it from being dull.  It's shape and length means that it can be worn with almost any casual outfit - I'd wear a camisole vest top underneath and team with skinny jeans and ankle boots.

Originally £19.90, which I think is fab value anyway, it's reduced to £14.90 in the sale.  It comes in wine (pictured), cream, light and dark grey, black and green in a variety of sizes.

Summer Staple: Copacabana Crochet One Piece Swimsuit from Free People

I can hear you now.  A swimsuit?  In this weather, in winter?  Are you mad?  Maybe, but I have been coveting this item since the summer and, now that it's come down in price, I am tempted to purchase it for summer 2014!

I adore this Lisa Maree crocheted one-piece swimsuit from Free People.  Obviously, it can be worn as a daring swimsuit, with its deep V-neck and crocheted pattern in the front.  But it could also be worn as a summer top, teamed with a sarong or fab maxi skirt to take one from the pool to the bar.   Originally £138 it's now £99.95 and is still available in sizes extra-small to large.
