Lola and Luxury Lace Bras from Gossard

Gossard sent me some gorgeous lingerie from the Lola range and Luxury Lace range recently.  Gossard have always been on the cutting edge of lingerie fashion and it was great to try these fantastic products.

I am impressed.  Being a plus-sized person, I have found that over the years, it's been almost impossible to get well-fitting, reasonably priced, pretty, colourful and stylish lingerie and I do feel that these ranges cover all of these bases.  The first range I tried was from the Lola collection.  The Lola neon pink with turquoise ribbon detailing non-padded bra (pictured) comes in sizes 30D to 38G, the plunge bra in sizes 30D to 38E and the shorts and thong in extra small to extra large.  I love the colour combination of this range with the complementary turquoise ribbon and neon pink lace, giving it an amazing colour pop.  The non-padded bra is very supportive, with an inner net and criss-cross, gateback on  the back making me feel comfortable yet attractive.

The second range I tried was from the Luxury Lace collection. The Luxury Lace plunge bra comes in sizes 30D to 38F (pictured below in aqua).  Slightly padded, it allows for one's cleavage to look awesome!  I also tried the thong (again, below) in extra large which fit and looked superb.  There's also a balcony bra from 30D to 38E and the shorts and thongs in extra small to extra large too.  This range comes in three different colours - an aqua/turquoise blue with candy pink ribbon as shown, a darker, almost purplish blue (selling out fast with discounts on this gorgeous colour) and classic black - the latter two with baby pink ribbon detailing.  There's also a fab suspender belt in the dark blue to complete the look.

To conclude, thank you to Gossard for introducing me to these lovely ranges; my husband thanks you too! And as a savvy and canny shopper, I do think the pricing is very good already for quality, gorgeous and unique products, but do watch out for discounts, sales and voucher codes which become available at certain times making their ranges even more desirable!

The Look for Less: Burberry Prossum SS14

Think pink! Another colour trend for SS14 is pink.  It's been spotted on the catwalks of Henry Holland, Temperley, Tom Ford and Chanel amongst others, in a range of tones and hues. I particularly like the candy pinks that are available - brighter and more fun than more common pastel shades.  Add some lace and layers and one is totally en vogue for the season!

So for this post, I am channelling Burberry Prorsum as seen during London Fashion week!

I found a great floral lace pink blouse at Marisota that is not dissimilar to the top of the dress above. It's just £18, reduced from £65. One could tuck the peplum into the skirt ir leave it as is. But hurry as it's selling out!

The blouse can then be combined with this Jacquard lace pencil skirt (below) from New Look.  It's just £19.99, comes in sizes 6 to 18 and a range of colours (black, blue, light and dark pink).

To complete the look, one could pair the skirt and blouse with some silver metallic heels - or go candy pink mad with pink courts and clutch bag!  I think this outfit would work really well for a wedding or similar more formal occasion.  A designer look, for a fraction of the price: true savvy chic, canny style!

Halterneck Swimsuit from Marks and Spencer

The Marks and Spencer sale started today and there is up to 50% off many items including clothing, shoes and accessories.  There is also a great selection of swimwear available, so it's a great opportunity to get ready for the coming months in savvy style!

I'm really impressed with the range as there's something for everyone: maternity swimsuits, post-surgery swimsuits, underwired bikini tops for extra support, skirted and regular swimsuits.  For me though, nothing beats a bit of tummy control and, as such, I've picked this pink and white spotty halterneck swimsuit.  Not only is it a gorgeous shape, pattern and colour, it's got a hidden control panel to keep the waist in! Originally £29.50, it's been reduced to £21 in the sale.  Stock on all items is selling out quickly, so it's worth taking a look at everything in the sale soon!

Alexander McQueen Satin Knuckleduster Box Clutch from Covetique

I've just found UK online store Covetique which buys and sells pre-owned designer clothes and accessories.  Customers can sell their items - and they collect free of charge - or buy them at a discount from the site.  Brands featured include Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Hermès, Jimmy Choo and Burberry, with up to 90% off.  Being preowned, items won't be necessarily perfect but the site make the condition of the product very clear.

Being pre-owned, items will be one-offs and specific sizes, but it's definitely worth having a look at the gorgeous items available.  I love this Alexander McQueen box clutch with its knuckleduster ring detail.  On first impression, it's quite subtle but then one spots the jewelled skull detail and delicate Swarovski crystals to give extra edge and elegance.

The original RRP for this is £1,165 but is £550 from Covetique.

Paisley Print Strapless Gown from Mango

Mango has a wonderful range of clothing and accessories aimed at the contemporary, urban women.  It's got a great range of quality, good value products - classic basics, unique and delicate items, sophisticated and modern pieces.

There's lots of items on sale at present, including some perfect blazers and pretty, floral trousers, but I love this pink and white, paisley patterned maxi dress. The shape is feminine and flattering, especially with the belt to pull in the waistline. It could be worn casually with some wedged sandals, simple accessories and a lovely sun hat for a fab Spring/Summer daytime look. But it could also work for a tasty evening meal out! Originally £79.99, it's been reduced to £39.99. Bring on Summer!

Delightful Dress: Polka Dot Dress from Wallis

For a limited time, there's up to 30% off all items on the Wallis website.  There are so many gorgeous items there, but with Spring peeping its head out, I think it's time to look once again for pretty, floaty dresses.

I love this classic taupe spotty dress.  The shape and style is very flattering with its tie waist to cinch in the waist and the slightly flared skirt to skim hips.  At the moment, it could be worn with a cardi or short jacket but once we get more sun, I'd pair it with some wedged Summer sandals.

Liana Silk Blouse from Phase Eight

However, I've spotted this luxurious 100% silk blouse from their Italian Collection.  Despite the high quality, I think it's a versatile top that could be worn for almost any occasion.  It could be paired with skinny jeans and pumps for an elegant daytime look, or dressed up with a more formal skirt and heels for an evening look.  It comes in sizes extra small to extra large and, with the discount, is £47.20 - not bad for a bit of luxury!

Cashmere Mix Cardigan from Planet

This week, until 9th March, Planet are offering 20% off everything on their website.  It's a great time to stock up on some classic, quality wardrobe staples and there is also a great selection that would look super chic for the office.

However, I've gone for something a little more versatile and casual, but luxurious, in this champagne coloured cashmere, merino wool and viscose mix cardigan.  Elegant and timeless, it can be thrown over anything to look stylish and feel super soft.  I also like the diamanté buttons to give it a little sparkle!  It's normally £99 but with the discount (that's automatically applied at the checkout) it is £79.20.  It's available in sizes extra small to extra large.  Gorgeous!

Well, it's been a while but I am hoping that I am back up and running, ready to find lots of beautiful bargains for Spring.  And the first thing I have spotted is a new range of ballet pumps from TOMS. A Great Cause: Crabtree & Evelyn supports Breast Cancer Care

Crabtree & Evelyn has announced it will be supporting Breast Cancer Care throughout February and March and will be featured on its new Buy it with Love website. A Great Cause: Think Pink at Debenhams for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Debenhams have got loads of products where a proportion of the sale price will go to various charities through their 'Think Pink' initiative. The ones that will benefit are Breakthrough Breast Cancer (45%), Breast Cancer Campaign (45%) and Pink Ribbon Foundation (10%).  I've picked out a couple of my favourite products to highlight and first up, is this pink and grey striped onesie.  Made of a comfy, snuggly fleece, it's got a zip fastening and a super soft white hood lining.  Perfect for cuddling up during those upcoming cold evenings - or during the day, even - it's £25.

A Great Cause: Ugg Australia for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

So many gorgeous products to take advantage of, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month!  This time it's Ugg Australia who have three different products whereby £10 from each sale will benefit specialist therapy charity, The Haven.  They are all fabulous and I am tempted by them all.

Awesome Accessories: Limited Edition Coral Perspex Necklace from Miss Selfridge

I've said it before and I'll say it again - you can't beat a fabulous statement necklace to brighten up and add glamour any outfit and this limited edition coral necklace from Miss Selfridge is simply perfect.  I've been coveting it for several months now, but the original price tag of £50 was far too hefty - which is why it's great it's been reduced to just £20 in the sale!  I think it would look great to embellish a simple white top during the day but equally, would look fabulous when dressed with evening wear for a night out.
