Orla Kiely Love Heart Purse from House of Fraser

Mother's Day this year is 30th March and House of Fraser are currently running a promotion whereby customers can get 20% off selected gifts.  These include bags and purses from Radley, Biba, Dickins & Jones and Ted Baker amongst others, smellies, clothing and homeware.  It's a great opportunity to get something gorgeous at a discount!

My favourite (no hints, of course!) is this Orla Kiely love heart purse.  I think the love hearts are really sweet but the colour combination stops it from being cutesy and twee.  It's also got plenty of room and compartments for all one's needs - cards, coins and notes - which is what one wants from a purse!  As it's Orla Kiely, it's still not cheap - with the discount it's £55.20 - but it's gorgeous, it's quality and it will last.

Divine Collaboration: Orla Kiely for UNIQLO

Orla Kiely has created a range of colourful, bold print tops for UNIQLO with the idea of a 'happy winter' - never a bad thing!  The collection features v-neck and rollneck t-shirts with a unique HEATTECH fabric, which basically keeps one warm using fancy textile technology.

All of the tops are currently on sale for just £9.90 (reduced from £12.90) and the patterns are new, inspired by nature and haven't been seen before so it's the perfect time to stock up on a fresh, contemporary look.  My favourite is this red, white and black flowered v-neck, long-sleeved t-shirt.  Simple and pretty, it can be thrown over jeans or skirts and used for layering.  If one prefers a rollneck top, I think it would look pretty fab with a simple, black pinafore dress, tights and boots.  And if that isn't enough, the winter sale is on at UNIQLO so there are lots more bargains to be had!

Splendid Skirt: Orla Kiely Alpine Grove Skirt from People Tree

I love People Tree, with its ethical, fair trade ethos and superb, quality products.  For over 20 years, it has partnered with Fair Trade artisans and farmers in the developing world to produce a collection of ethical and eco fashion.  It has always been a pioneer in that field so customers can feel good about purchasing from them!

There are loads of great items in their sale right now, including designers such as Orla Kiely.  I'm really impressed with the sale price of these Alpine Grove cotton midi skirts - they have been reduced from £70 to £28 - a real bargain!  Pair with a simple white t-shirt, cardi and flat sandals for a perfect, chic summer look.  I can't decide whether I prefer the blue or coral - but at that price, I'm tempted by both!
