Flocked Bird T-Shirt from Warehouse

Cobalt blue is one of the colours for Spring 2014. It's eye-catching, striking and looks amazing with almost all skin tones and hair colours.  It works with clothing, jewellery, nail polish - anything!

The sales right now provide a good opportunity to find some key pieces in this colour at bargain prices.  I've spotted this flocked bird patterned top in the Warehouse sale.  It's a simple top, but the subtle bird pattern prevents it from being boring. It's versatile enough to be worn with anything for a casual, daytime look; I think it would be perfect with shorts and sandals.
It's still available in sizes 6 to 18, reduced from £26 to £15.  Delivery is normally £3.99 but free when you spend £75 or more using code FREE75.

Awesome Accessories: Pegasus Scarf from Warehouse

Whatever the weather, a scarf is always a simple but elegant accessory to any outfit.  It can, in fact, replace jewellery to become the focus for any ensemble.  It also is a great way of keeping the breeze at bay in warmer months; it may be too hot to wear a jacket or cardi but too chilly to wear nothing, and a scarf fits the bill nicely.

As a rule of thumb, I tend to wear patterned scarves with plain coloured clothing and singel coloured scarves with patterned outfits.  However, I have started to throw away the rule book in this respect and have been wearing patterns with patterns - shock!  I think this works best with two colours on the scarf, with at least one being fairly neutral like black or white.  So this gorgeous Pegasus scarf from Warehouse is perfect.  I'd wear it with a brighter outfit, but it would, in fact go with almost any colour combination.  And who can resist the power of Pegasus; he's been a favourite of mine since I was a little girl!  And for a limited time, there's 20% off with the code STYLE20 on all full-priced items on the site.  I think this one will be gone quickly, so snap it up while you can!

Competition: Warehouse Style Me If You Can

Warehouse launched their AW13 'Style Me if You can' campaign whereby customers picked the place and chose the look.  The competition asked customers to enter to become the stylist for their forthcoming film and print campaign, so they can see their designs brought to life.  This has been achieved as a series of fun videos, so have a look below!

What's your favourite piece from this campaign?  I'm quite taken by the brightly coloured necklace...

Leather Day Bag and Competition from Warehouse

A smart leather bag is a must, especially for the office, and I have been coveting this brown one from Warehouse since I spotted it in the shop a month or two ago.  However, at £76, I felt that it was a bit of an extravagance when I already have a lovely leather handbag for work.

Lucky for me then, it's in the Warehouse sale!  It's been reduced to just £45, which I feel is amazing value for a quality leather bag.  The size is just right to fit all of one's essentials being 33cm x 24cm  - not too big and bulky, but not too small either.  The style is classic and so will last into next season and beyond and it should go, not only with smart office wear, but with casual day outfits also.
As well as the sale, Warehouse are running a fantastic competition called 'Style Me If You Can.'  The competition asks customers to enter to become the stylist for their forthcoming film and print campaign, so they can see their designs brought to life.  In addition, they can win an I-Escape trip for two to Paris, Milan or New York!  It's a great, unique competition for budding stylists, asking them to pick a city location and style an outfit that best suits the occasion. They will then create a style mood board and be able to share their creativity with friends through the custom-made built-in social media functions.

The nine best outfits will appear in a film and print campaign credited to each winning stylist. The film itself will be made up of nine chapters, released every 90 minutes on a single day. It will be viewable on the Warehouse website, social media and customers' own mobile phones. When the entrant watches each chapter he or she will be able to see if his or her style has been picked.

This is a really interesting, innovative and unique way of developing and sharing the new Warehouse collection and I'd love it if one - or more - of my readers won it!  It closes just before midnight on Thursday, so do have a look as soon as possible.  Best of luck!

Over the Top: Grey Spotty Jacquard Blazer from Warehouse

Warehouse have a time-limited offer of 25% off seasonal selections at the moment and there are loads of fantastic dresses, tops and shoes to choose from.

I've gone for a twist on a wardrobe staple, and selected this grey spotty blazer.  Polka dots continue to be a big hit this season and I suspect they won't be just a flash in the pan, as they are so fun and fresh and never date. This jacket will look fab worn casually with skinnies or it can make a pretty dress look smarter.  Usually £50, it's £37 with the discount and comes in sizes 6 to 16.

As a bonus feature, I also wish to highlight these amazing teal coloured opaque sunglasses.  They aren't on sale but they are the best sunglasses I have found this season and are only £16.  I love the colour, size and style and they suit everyone that I have seen them on.  Warehouse offer free delivery on orders over £75 so it may just be worth stocking up on a few essentials!

Delightful Dress: Blue Cutwork Skater Dress from Warehouse

There's 20% off dresses at Warehouse today and tomorrow (ends Friday at midnight) so it's a good opportunity to find something pretty!  There are so many fantastic dresses on the site, but I have gone for a skater dress in this season's shade of royal blue.  The pattern is not quite a broderie anglaise design, but it's certainly headed in that direction and I love it - this makes it a bit more interesting and delicate than the average skater dress.  The capped sleeves, cut of the dress and the scalloped hem all contribute to a flattering silhouette.  It's available in sizes 6 - 16 and is usually £95 but with the discount, it's £76.
