Dark Floral Scuba Structured Playsuit from Lavish Alice

Lavish Alice is a gorgeous, online store that specialises in fashion's most covetable trends at reasonable prices.  It's also well-loved in showbiz circles, with popular singers like Pixie Lott, radio DJs such as Fearne Cotton and reality TV stars like Millie Mackintosh, Michelle Keegan and Samantha Faiers.

They have a great range of playsuits, perfect for the summer months.  I love this one with a digital floral monchrome print, making it easy to wear with a range of accessories - from flat pumps for daytime wear to heels for a smarter look; oversized sunglasses and hat for chilling in the sun or bright jewellery to give a complementary colour pop.

In line with the celeb theme of Lavish Alice, it's been recently spotted on E! News presenter Giuliana Rancic in the USA with some fab killer heels.  Very nice!

It's £44 - unfortunately it's not in the current 70% off sale. But so lovely!

Crochet Lace Dress from Apricot in aid of Ovarian Cancer Charity Ovacome

March is ovarian cancer month and, to support this, Apricot has teamed up with ovarian cancer charity, Ovacome and are selling a fabulous dress in the charity's colour of teal.

The dress is lined and structured, to give an amazing fit.  The pattern detail, with circular crochet lace and pleats is divine.  And the colour is gorgeous.  It can be worn to the office with a blazer and courts or dressed up with accessories and killer heels for an evening out.  It's £35 and comes in sizes 8 to 16 and, with all profits from sales of this dress going to Ovacome, it is so worth it.
There is also a canvas tote bag available for just £2, again, with all profits going to the charity.  So do think about supporting this cause and gaining a fab dress and bag!  It's win/win for everyone!

Clearwater Fringe Infinity Scarf by Jessica Simpson from Zulily

Zulily is an online store that hosts different and discounted product and brand events every day. Customers sign up to the site to receive a daily email about the deals and offers that are available, and these last for a limited amount of time.  It features pretty and cute products for women and children, including clothing, toys, accessories and homeware.

For the next day or so, items from the Jessica Simpson collection are on the site.  I love this blue, pink and white infinity scarf.  The pattern and colours are gorgeous, but neutral enough that they will go with most outfits.  And the beauty of such a scarf is that one can just put it on without having to worry about how it's tied!  This one is great value - the RRP is £26.18 but it's just £12.36 at Zulily.

Striped Skirt Skater Dress from AX Paris

I've been keeping half an eye on this season's Celebrity Big Brother - not so much for the actual CBB shenanigans themselves, but more to see what presenter Emma Willis is wearing! I'm really admiring her taste and style at the moment.

I have spotted her wearing a couple of flared skirted skater dresses with a horizontal stripe across the skirt.  The first one was a monochrome one, paired with a gorgeous black coat (allegedly from Hobbs - maybe this Maisie one?) for the winter weather.  I've found a very similar dress at AX Paris on sale for just £14.99 (reduced from £25).  As with all skater dresses, it's a really flattering shape and I'd pair with black tights and ankle boots for a cold weather look.
The other dress I have found is this red and black contrast wetlook stripe skater dress, for a bit more of a colour pop.  Again, it's from AX Paris and is reduced from £35 to £19.99 and it would look great teamed with a black coat, tights and boots to see one through the season in style!

Terrific Top: Daisy Fest Lennon Sweater from Wildfox Couture

The weather may be cooling, but there's always a place for a pretty, floral top.  Of all people, I spotted Paris Hilton wearing this gorgeous daisy print top which is available from Wildfox Couture, an American vintage-inspired women’s clothing brand which combines great style and unsurpassed quality. Semi-sheer and soft, it will look perfectly pretty teamed with jeans for a gorgeous, everyday look.  Or dress it up with a maxi skirt and heels, like in the picture.  Just add a simple strappy vest top underneath - unless one is super-brave!
Until 25th December, customers can get 10% off first orders by subscribing to the Wildfox newsletter, reducing this top to £229.50.  Delivery is free.

Splendid Skirt: Lou Lou Neon Pop Silver Sequin Skirt from Inlovewithfashion.com

Unsurprisingly, I've been focusing lately on summer staples - lots of flowing contours, florals, light fabrics and cool cuts.  So today, I decided to look for something a bit different for summer evenings and nights.  I was after something fun that could take one from the bar to the club!  So I've been looking at websites which stock on-trend, sassy and youthful clothes.

I was impressed with the Inlovewithfashion.com website.  As well as being contemporary and playful, it doesn't mass produce its items, so one is unlikely to see someone wearing the same thing!  Their items are also made in Britain which is always a good thing to support.  They are also having a sale at the moment, so lots of items are half price or less.  Inlovewithfashion.com stocks the Love brand, which is an edgy and dynamic label, regularly spotted on fashion-forward British celebs like Fearne Cotton, members of The Saturdays and Alexandra Burke.

There are lots of fantastic items that could be worn to evening events and clubs, but I have chosen this funky silver sequin mini skirt.  The classic cut and length is enhanced by sparkles and a pop of neon to make it bang on trend for SS13.  There's really no need to embellish this much more - the skirt is the focus of the outfit!  Wear with black killer heels, a simple vest top and throw on a leather biker jacket to create a bold and stylish look for the club!  Best of all, it was £36, but is now just £15 and comes in sizes small, medium and large.
So, for this post, I've moved away from my usual pieces to review - what do you reckon?  Would you like to see more of this sort of thing?!  Do leave your comments below!

Splendid Skirt: Louche Cindy A-line Skirt from Joy

Say what you like about Victoria Beckham, I don't think it can be denied that she's come a long way from her Spice Girls days and developed into a respected (and in my opinion, talented) fashion designer.  Her dresses are gorgeous, flattering and feminine but unfortunately are out of my price range!

The item from her SS13 collection that I've been coveting is a bright orange a-line skirt.  Victoria's been spotted out and about in this skirt a couple of times now - as part of a suit to give a fashion talk and with a neutral top when out with her daughter.  I love the vivid tangerine orange which is summery bright and cheerful.  And an A-line skirt is always flattering, pulling in the waist and disguising the upper hips and thigh but still flashing enough leg to be fun!

I've found an equivalent skirt from Joy the Store.  Whilst it isn't top-class designer, and it's a cotton blend as opposed to silk and wool, it's still stylish and great quality and is reminiscent of the Victoria Beckham version.  I would pair it with a tucked-in cream or white blouse for simple, sophisticated chic; for day I'd wear flat pumps and switch to some killer heels in the evening.  Available in sizes 8 to 14, it's been reduced from £32 to £20 in the sale.
What are your views on Victoria Beckham as a designer?  Do you think she's a worthy designer whose styles can be emulated?

Summer Staple: Milly Collection Elephant Print Shorts from Banana Republic

Milly designer Michelle Smith has collaborated with Banana Republic on a special, limited edition 60+ piece capsule collection of men's and women's clothing and the collection is out today online and in stores!  The collection is chic and simple, with a gorgeous, vibrant blend of colours and patterns - the idea is 'Hamptons-chic charm with the polish of the city' and it works really well.  As well as clothing, there is also a selection of jewellery and bags.

There is one coral, navy and white striped fit and flare dress I'm quite taken with that's been spotted on the gorgeous Zoe Saldana.  However, I've been blogging about so many dresses lately that I have chosen instead these fab Elephant print shorts which are fun but tasteful.  They'd look great with a coloured t-shirt and sandals, or they can be smartened up by sticking to the monochrome trend with a white blouse, black blazer and shoes.

These shorts are £39.50, but by signing up to the newsletter, customers can get 15% off their first order.

Fantastic Footwear: Charlotte Olympia Black Velvet "Kitty" Slipper Flats from Profile Fashion

Charlotte Olympia's kitty cat flat slippers have become a coveted fashion piece since 2011.  They have been spotted on all sorts of celebs - Anne Hathaway, BeyoncĂ©, Kirsten Dunst, Taylor Swift and that devoted follower of fashion Alexa Chung.  My favourite are these black velvet, embroidered with gold ones with a gilded heel which will go with anything and will work for day or night.  They are also available in a sumptuous red velvet.

As these are designer shoes, they are a pretty standard price across the web at £465.  But at Profile Fashion, until the end of the month, customers can receive a 5% discount just by signing up to the newsletter  which brings them down to £441.75.  Still pricey, but definitely an investment piece that will last and look fab.

Summer Staple: LOVE Cobalt Wrap Playsuit from Inlovewithfashion.com

"True blue baby, I love you."  And it is true!  Blue dominated the catwalks for SS13, from delicate powder blues to fabulous royal blues.  A great way to wear it is to pick a key piece in your favourite shade, team with neutral accessories and let the blue hue do the talking.

This LOVE cobalt blue long-sleeved wrap playsuit  is available from Inlovewithfashion.com and is perfect for taking the trend into the coming months.  The colour is sensational - a really beautiful and eye-catching shade of blue - and it will really make heads turn.  It is so on-trend that it has been spotted on fashionista Millie Mackintosh!  I'd team it with a chunky necklace, some wedges and a fab clutch for a chic day to evening look.  It's £32 with free delivery plus new customers can get 20% off using a discount code.

Beautiful Bag: Mischa Barton Hebden Grab Bag from The Hut

The Hut is an online store that has all sorts of branded and designer goods and offers fairly frequent discounts and deals, so it's a good one to watch.  I have spotted this Mischa Barton Hebden grab bag in camel which has 20% off until Wednesday with the code MISCHA. Fusing form and functionality, it's a lovely, classic colour and style and could be used for casual occasions or work.  As well as the grab handle, it also has a shoulder strap, which is always handy.  It's got purple lining too which makes me happy!  With the 20% off, it's £55.20, reduced from £69.

Delightful Dress: Amelia Red Prom Dress from Lipstick Boutique

Ahhh, The Only Way is Essex.  A modern, cultural phenomenon or completely outrageous car crash entertainment?  Opinion is divided, but it's certainly created a number of marketing opportunities for its stars such as Amy Childs, Lauren Pope and Lydia Rose Bright, not least in the fashion industry.  Lipstick Boutique is an online store that stocks the creations of many of the cast members and some of it is good value and really rather nice!

This poppy red lace prom dress is half price in the sale and is just £35.  The high-necked flower appliquĂ© top is intricate and pretty and the gathered waist and ruffled skirt with netting underneath will be amazingly flattering.  The colour is eye-catchingly bright and superb.  I don't think one would need to accessorise this hugely - some black heels and a few simple bracelets would make this dress look really classy.  It is still available in sizes 8 - 16.
