Preppy Colourblock Work Bag from Accessorize

Goodness me!  I have just realised that I haven't featured a bag since October, so I guess it's about time to do so once again.  And where better to focus than the Accessorize sale?  Of course, there are loads of fab bags there - clutches, totes, wallets and satchels - but I've chosen this colourblock work bag, mainly as I went back to work this week!

Smart and structured with a definite 60's vibe, it will be perfect for all those office bits.  The zipped compartments help to contain those additional non-work bits too!  The shoulder strap means it can be carried easily and comfortably to meetings and about town, putting it down with the carry handles.  Perfect!  And even better, it's reduced from £35 to £27 in the sale.

Fantastic Footwear: Karmel Colour Pop Wedge Sandals from Kate Kuba

I feel like I've been really practical and sensible in my posts lately, so I've found some fabulous and funky wedges to keep a nice balance.  Although, thinking about it, balancing may be tricky with these gorgeous heels from shoe store Kate Kuba!  They take this season's neon trend and then some, with a fantastic colour pop combination.  I'd wear these with a short, denim skirt or shorts and t-shirt and maybe add a statement necklace or similar.  Originally £155, they've been reduced to £74 and come in sizes 2 to 8.
Kate Kuba offers free delivery on orders over £50, plus there's up to 70% off in the sale at the moment, so definitely well worth a look.

Fantastic Footwear: Art Harlem 932 Oxford Brogues from Sarenza

I don't know if it is the weather or what, but I seem to be searching for shoes that are more suited to the autumn and winter months at the moment.  Surely there's something wrong with this picture?  Where is the sun?  But on the plus side, it does mean that I'm finding some really great bargains that can be stashed in the cupboard until later in the year - or, in fact, worn now if summer has truly been and gone...

The Sarenza summer sale has started and they're offering up to 60% off on over 50,000 styles of shoes and bags from hundreds of top brands, so it is definitely well worth a look.  They stock Art Company footwear, which is a quality shoe brand whose values are strength, quality, innovation and humour.  I think these Harlem 932 taupe lace-up leather brogues fit nicely into that philosophy.  Clearly inspired by the 1940's, they're a classic, fun, vintage style.  The fact that there is a heel means that the usual masculinity of brogues is lessened, and so they can be worn with anything.  A girlie tea dress or skirt would look fab, but so would jeans with a flash of ankle.  And I love the colour block, three tone effect of the shoe, making it unconventional and interesting!

Normally £92, they've been reduced by 30% in the sale to £64.40, which is the cheapest I can find online for these, and are available in sizes 3.5 to 7.  These shoes are also available in darker 'Moka' brown colours.  Sarenza offer free delivery as standard - always a bonus!
Heeled brogues, flat brogues or no brogues - what are your thoughts?  Let me know in the comments!

Fantastic Footwear: Colourblock Points from Boden

There is 20% off selected, new season styles at Boden at the moment and I am coveting these navy blue and coral colourblock pointed shoes.  The flat heel means they will be comfortable to wear, but they are still chic and elegant enough to wear for work or a more formal occasion.  They could also be worn with jeans or a more casual skirt, so totally versatile!

The code Q248 for new season styles works till tonight, so hurry to take advantage!

Fantastic Footwear: Louise Roe Tallulah Multi Strap Platform Sandal from StylistPick

StylistPick is an online boutique aiming to combine a customised styling service with the ease of shopping online. Customers register for the site and each month will be sent a personalised showroom of accessories to suit their style.

There are some lovely items on the site, but I have fallen in love with these purple, coral and peppermint green colour block platform sandals by Louise Roe.  They are so pretty and will add the wow factor to any outfit - I would wear fairly neutral clothing and let the shoes do the talking!  These shoes are £40 with free delivery (and returns, if necessary) but all new customers get 25% off their first order as standard.

Another benefit of the site is that customers can create a fashion profile, to get ideas of what new pieces they may like and will suit - always helpful!

Fantastic Footwear: Emma Go Romeo Ankle Strap Sandals from Spartoo

I admit, I've been obsessing over focusing on wedge sandals for a while now, so I thought it was time to find something lovely and summery, but perhaps a bit more practical for every day use.  I have found an online shoe website, Spartoo.co.uk, which sells a great range of shoe and boot brands and there are loads of unique and delightful finds there!  The other bonus of the site is that it operates a loyalty points scheme, so you can collect points to convert to a gift voucher for future purchases.

I've chosen these flat Emma Go Romeo ankle strap sandals in tan and pink.  The two tone colour block design is very current and the pop of neon adds the wow factor to prevent these practical flatties from being boring.  They are 100% leather, so should be great quality and they should last.  They have been reduced from £110.99 to £88.79 at Spartoo and are available in sizes 6 and 7.

It's worth adding again that there are loads of lovely flat sandals on the site - some of which are reduced and some are still full price - and I had some difficulty choosing just the one pair to showcase!  But there are discount codes available for full-priced items, so do have a look at my discount voucher page if you wish.

Great Jeans: Slim-Fit 5-Pocket Style Stretch Cotton Jeans from La Redoute

Neon's been a fashion trend for a while and it looks like it will continue into Spring/Summer 2013.  I'm having a bit of a neon moment and have been after all sorts of neon clothes and accessories for the blog. I suspect that I'm a little eager for some summer sun and the vibrant shade makes me feel vitalised and energetic, ready for some warmth and joy.

Found first are these skinny jeans from La Redoute.  They are available in subtle neon colours - aqua blue, yellow or pink, so it's easy to embrace the trend without going overboard - unless you want to!  Team with a neutral top and some wedges and look classy but casual.  Or be brave and go totally 80's with some florescent accessories and/or a clashing neon top whilst you dig out that Cyndi Lauper LP.

Cotton with a touch of elastane, the jeans should fit really well.  They come in sizes 6 - 18 - not all sizes are available in all colours, but it's not too bad.  Usually £55, they are on sale with 30% off at £38.50.

There's a couple of discount voucher codes for La Redoute currently, but because these jeans are already discounted, the codes don't work in addition.  However, if you're a new customer, code 4708 should get free delivery at the least.

So this is the first of a few potential neon posts..... look out for some savvy brightness!

Stunning Shoes: Bruno Premi Women's Capra Wedges from Amazon

Wedge shoes are brilliant - they add height and make legs look endless, but are easier to walk in and more stable and comfortable than stilettos.  I love these Bruno Premi Capra wedges that I found on Amazon.  The colour combination is classy but still eye-catching and fun.  Colour-blocking and bright hues are still very much in fashion and I really think these ones are lovely!  They are available in sizes 3-8 with free delivery.  Now, I know they aren't technically on sale but they are so gorgeous I had to blog about them.

So to keep to my brief, I have found a fab clashing bright coloured bag that these shoes can be matched with: a French Connection Harriet Crossbody in fuchsia pink, reduced from £50 to £31.99.
