Best of the Sales: Atterley Road

Atterley Road stocks some gorgeous, designer fashion so it's worth having a look when there is a sale on.  New lines have just been added plus there are further reductions meaning there's now up to 75% off.

On my new site, I've picked out a few of my favourites from Whistles, Filippa K, Day Birger et Mikkelsen and Lamb to name just a few!  But should I have to choose just the one, it would be this Allium B Alexa bead collar dress reduced from £135.00 to £79.00.  A simple navy with a brown contrasting Peter Pan beaded collar means that it is simple yet elegant.  It can be worn for day or night, work or casual - just team with tights and ankle boots for an up-to-date look that works for any occasion!  Contrasting accessories would also look fab with this outfit.

Despite the fact that Christmas is not all that far away, there are still plenty of offers to be found.  John Lewis currently has quite a few gorgeous women's fashion items on sale and I love this Somerset by Alice Temperley shirt dress, which is half its original price.  It's 100% silk, so will feel luscious and luxurious.  I love the delicate, contrasting Peter Pan collar flowing into the same coloured lace placket, giving it a vintage feel.  It's perfect for work or a daytime formal lunch, but at the sale price it's worth wearing as much as possible!  It's still available in sizes 6 to 18 (except 10) and is £80.

Terrific Top: Jaeger Embroidered Blouse from John Lewis

The John Lewis sale is always phenomenal; with up to 70% off designer brands, it's the perfect place to pick up a high quality, fabulous bargain!  And unlike some other stores, John Lewis seems to retain the tradition of having proper seasonal sales - and it's now time for the summer sale.

As ever, it's been tricky to pick just one item that stands out, so today I have focused on finding a smart and pretty but versatile top that I can't find elsewhere on the web and that has been discounted massively.  With that in mind, I found this embroidered, Peter Pan collared Jaeger blouse that's been reduced from £150 to £60.  It could be worn with jeans or cropped trousers for a smart but casual look, or it could be teamed with a smart skirt and heels for the office.  I don't think it would need much extra accessorising - maybe a lovely watch or bracelet?  It's still available in sizes 8 and 12 to 16.

Delightful Dress: Black Elephant Print Peter Pan Collar Dress from Sheinside.com

Definitely, one of the best things about writing this blog is finding new and exciting online stores that stock items that can't be found on the High Street - or even in this country!  Many of the foreign stores I have found lately focus on the vintage/retro look - which I love - but Sheinside.com has that and more!  New items are added to the site every day, so it's really easy to get something unique, interesting and fabulous.

This black and gold elephant print dress is really fun and funky.  The elephant pattern and striking colours for me creates an impression of the far East - think sumptuous silks, sparkly gold and wandering safari animals.  The A-line style of the dress is very flattering too; it will create a very feminine silhouette by pulling in the waist but flaring out underneath.  And a Peter Pan collar is always cute!

This dress would look fantastic with a few simple accessories - maybe a great hairband and some bracelets. I'd then add some black t-bar peep-toe heels to create a lovely, vintage look with a modern twist.

This dress is on sale at the moment, reduced from $89 to $59 (so about £38) but an extra bonus of Sheinside is that there is free worldwide shipping - brilliant!  Also, new customers can get 15% off their first order by signing up to their email list, but I imagine this won't work on sale items.  But worth a try!  Let me know how you get on in the comments below.

Delightful Dress: Louche Leanna Spot Collar Dress from Joy

There are some gorgeous men's and women's clothes, accessories and gifts at JOY, which specialises in unique, limited and wonderful finds.  There are still items available in the sale and I am very tempted by this peter pan collared spotty navy dress.  The cut is classic and flattering and polka dots are always perfect, no matter what size!  The contrasting coral coloured piping on the collar and belt take what could be a very normal (although pretty) dress and add a pop of gaiety and brightness.  Originally £59, it's been reduced to £40 in the sale and is available in sizes 8, 10 and 14.

I would also like to point out about it at the moment is that, with purchases over £75, customers can get a free dragonfly print dress from JOY!  This can only be a good thing although I am not sure how this works with sale items.  Certainly worth a punt though...

Terrific Top: Erin Lace Dip Dye Top from Pop Couture

Dip dye is one of the trends for Spring/Summer 2013, taking its inspiration from the tie dye fashions of the 60's hippy era - but with more taste and style!  Combine an oversized vest top with lots of jewellery, scarves and denim for a fab festival look or go for something more refined that can be combined with heels and glamorous makeup for an evening out.

There's some lovely, great value and contemporary items at Forever 21 which prides itself on being style conscious and trend-savvy.  Today only (21st April), they are celebrating their birthday with 21% off with the code BDAY21, so it's a great time to stock up!

I love this unique lightweight stripey jumper with a mesh panel and peter pan collar.  It's perfect for spring with its gorgeous pastel pink and white colours and short sleeves and will look fab with a skirt or shorts.  Available in sizes S - L (4 - 12 UK) it's normally £14.75 which is a bargain even without the discount!
