A Great Cause: Ribbon Pink Patent Leather from Office for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I do like a charitable purchase.  And I do like a pair of killer heels.  So I am doubly excited when the two worlds collide to produce an amazing pair of stilettos like these Ribbon pink patent leather shoes from Office.  The colour is stunning, a simply perfect fuchsia pink.  Wear to work to brighten up monochrome office chic or wear out in the evening with a gorgeous dress.  They'd work for any special occasion.  They're £55, which I think isn't too bad - but a massive £40 plus VAT from each sale is going to Breast Cancer Care.  Brilliant!

Beautiful Bag: Patent Clutch from Banana Republic

I love Banana Republic for its great value, quality wardrobe staples, its amazing collaborations with some fab designers and also the fact that they frequently offer discounts, so it's often easy to pick up a good deal.

They are also having a sale at the moment and I've found this bargaintastic mint green patent clutch, which has been reduced from £49.50 to just £14.99.  Perfect for day or night, it's simple and and sophisticated and will go with almost any outfit!  It's also available in an orange 'autumn leaf' colour.

Fantastic Footwear: Chorus Sing Liberty Arts Fabric Peep-toe Heels from Clarks Shoes

Clarks Shoes are synonymous with quality, functionality, longevity and style and year after year produce fantastic collections for the whole family and for every occasion.  I am also impressed that, despite being a global brand with a large High Street presence, they take their commitment to social responsibility seriously.  And, quite frankly, I wouldn't buy my work shoes from anywhere else as they look and feel great.

I was really pleased to discover that Clarks are working in collaboration with Liberty Art Fabrics and have incorporated the iconic print into a selection of styles available right now.  I couldn't resist the Chorus Sing nude patent peep-toe heels, so I've combined some of my own photos with the official ones for this review post!
Aren't they stunning?  The colour is perfect for the Spring and Summer months, with nude shoes having become a classic, elegant fashion staple rather than a seasonal trend.  I adore how the contrasting, unique Liberty Arts Fabric lining enhances the neutral shade, with the pop of pink peeping out from the toe.  And look how well that particular feature goes with my pedicure - what an unexpected surprise!
The other key feature of these shoes is how well they fit and how amazingly comfortable they are.  I love my heels but I am not necessarily a proficient walker in them and I do find that some brands and styles are often uncomfortable.   However, I have no such problems with these, and have been wearing them everywhere and all day with no trouble - the heel height of about 3" (8cm) seems to be perfect.  They look fantastic with my skinny jeans and blazer, creating a smart daytime casual look.  I've also worn them with a pencil skirt suit into the office and, not only do they look amazing, but my feet feel great, even at the end of the day.  I've had numerous compliments on them too.
These shoes are patent leather, so they are great quality and will last.  Even better, Clarks are offering 20% off adults' shoes until midnight tonight with the code BREEZY, so these amazing shoes can be snapped up for just £40 rather than the usual (and still reasonable) £49.99.

So all in all, these shoes are a versatile, pretty, comfortable, practical, canny and savvy purchase.  Highly recommended and I'm so pleased with them.  I'm now debating which matching bag to get....  And maybe another colour or style....

Delightful Dress: Emilia Dress from Coast

So I was scrutinising dresses from the BAFTA Awards last Sunday and was very taken by Sienna Miller's box pleat long-sleeved dress from Matthew Williamson’s Fall 2013 collection.  I particularly love the aqua colour, but the cut, length and pleats in the skirt make the dress just perfect.

Searching for something similar online, I found this powder blue Emilia dress from Coast.  It's not an exact match, but I think takes the best bits of the Matthew Williamson dress and expands on them.  I love the ruffle folds on the shoulders, which add an attractive element of interest that the original dress doesn't have and the belt ensures a flattering waistline.  Better yet, until 18th May, there's 25% off full-priced dresses at Coast with the code STYLE25 - so instead of being £160, this dress can be bought for £120 - so one can get celebrity catwalk style for even less!  Beautiful, savvy and canny.  What could be better?

Wardrobe Staple: Celestine 2 Court Shoes from Jones Bootmaker

Every woman needs at least one pair of simple, classic court shoes in her wardrobe.  Practical and versatile, they can be worn with almost anything, for almost any occasion and make any outfit look smart and elegant.  Black courts are probably the most useful (although I'd avoid wearing them with anything too light or pastel shades) but nude courts are having a moment too, mainly due to Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge popularising them.  The latter colour especially elongates the legs, making them super-flattering.  As they come in such a range of styles, heel heights and colours, it's easy to find one that works for the individual in the best possible way

Jones Bootmaker has a great range of court shoes and, even better, selected lines have up to 25% off at the moment.  My favourite are these Celestine 2 leather court shoes, which come in regular black or nude, patent black or nude (unfortunately, not in the offer) or this amazing patent red.  Normally £99, with the discount they are £79 in sizes 4 to 8.

Fantastic Footwear: Pour La Victoire Nasha Coral Patent Sandals fromSarenza

I haven't done a shoes post for.... oooooh.... about 3 days so how about these fabulous coral patent sandals from Sarenza?  I was looking for something that resembled some neon pink Stella McCartney Jezebel wedge sandals that I love, and these came closest and nicest, without breaking the bank!  Super-high and fairly impractical, they are simply gorgeous and great quality.  There's 30% off these shoes at the moment, so they are £132.40 (with free delivery and returns) and are available in sizes 4 to 7.5.  They also come in a patent cobalt blue, which is also delightful.

Delightful Dress: Sugarhill Boutique Flamingo Midi Dress from Rock My Vintage

Rock My Vintage is a fab online store selling original vintage pieces, as well as more modern, vintage-inspired clothing and accessories.  It's easy to shop by style, brand or era so simple to locate any gorgeous items that you are after!

I love this 1940's inspired flamingo bird print day dress in navy from the brand Sugarhill Boutique, available in sizes 10 - 14.  It is flowing, feminine and flattering, with its cowl neck and contrasting patent pink belt.  The pleated, longer length skirt makes it graceful and elegant.  It will look lovely for a summer wedding with some nude heels or it can be glammed up with some brighter ones for an on-trend colour clash!  It's £58 from Rock My Vintage, but with the code RMV8 there's 8% off until the end of the year, making it just over £50.

Putting my money where my mouth is: Call It Spring Coral 'Janille' Pointed Toe Pumps from Debenhams

As you may have guessed, I love finding fashion bargains and I don't just find them - I buy them!  It's a bit of a risk for me whilst researching the blog I suppose....

My latest purchase is this pair of coral pencil pointed flat pumps from Debenhams.  The colour and patent shine is gorgeous.  They fit really well too and are comfortable - I think the fact that they are pointed toe rather than round gives them a slightly snugger fit meaning they are less likely to slip off.  I'll be able to wear these with jeans, dresses or skirts so they are a totally versatile bargain!

Until the 24th April, Debenhams are offering an extra 10% off sale prices with the discount voucher code CP37 so these can be picked up for just £18.  They are still available in sizes 3 - 8.
